We have found that provided a boiler is suitably serviced and maintained, it will usually remain trouble free. To that end, Rural Energy also offer service contracts to ensure the maintenance of your boiler by our in-house trained engineers.
Biomass boilers are complex pieces of equipment which require specialist knowledge - getting a boiler serviced by an engineer without specialist training could result in damage or inefficient combustion.
Benefits of support contract include :
These contracts provide a standard level of service, but can also come with several ‘bolt-on’ options for a uniquely tailored package. Evidence of a suitably maintained system is a requirement for eligibility under the Renewable Heat Incentive. Rural Energy can advise on ensuring eligibility under this scheme and also assist with the application process to Ofgem, who will be running the scheme.

In the unfortunate event of a breakdown Rural Energy offer telephone support during normal office hours to diagnose a fault and aim to respond to all customers the same day. Customers with service contracts are given priority and we aim to respond within 2 hours.
If a site visit is required, Rural Energy will prioritize call outs according to customer need, and will do everything possible to get a boiler operational as quickly as possible.
Rural Energy recommends that a boiler is checked twice a year by a specialist Herz trained engineer. This will ensure that the combustion can be checked to ensure equipment performance is continually optimized.
