The natural choice for heating

Heat distribution is an essential part of any functioning biomass heating system. Here at Rural Energy, we have all the skills necessary to design and then implement a biomass boiler for a client. Many of our clients believe that their building's current heating network, including pipes and radiators, will need to be changed for the boiler, but usually this is not necessary.

We work to fit the boiler into your current heating system, and will distribute the heat evenly through it with our experienced engineers working on site to connect it appropriately to your building.

Rural Energy offer a range of mechanical and electrical services including:

  • District heating network including groundworks.
  • Mechanical pipe work in the plant room and connection into existing services.
  • Electrical wiring including BMS controls.
  • Flue systems.

An example of our team designing optimum pipework for feeding heat into an existing system can be seen in our project in South Carlton village, Lincolnshire. With this project we provided a turnkey system for the whole village, including a district heating network. For this network our engineers used over 1200m of pre-insulated pipe to provide heating and hot water. This reduced any heat loss in transport. You can view the case study here to find out more.

Other high end technologies that we use to ensure maximum heat delivery include plate heat exchangers. This technology is a very efficient form of heat exchange in comparison to traditional methods. Due to a larger surface area than in a typical heat exchanger, the heating fluid spread out over the plates in a larger area, transferring heat more quickly, greatly accelarating the speed of temperature change.
