What's the payback on a heat pump system?

Depending on the fuel being displaced the paybacks can be very short. If the alternative is oil, LPG or direct electric heating (storage heaters for example) then a heat pump system can pay back in less than ten years depending on the level of fuel price inflation. Oil and gas prices are on the rise and an investment in heat pumps will to some extent insulate you from this effect.

With the payments from the Renewable Heat Incentive payback can be reduced further. Even against a gas alternative payback can be under 10 years. We can model the payback for a given system using a number of variables to give you an idea. Contact us for more information.
