Feasibility and Planning: We work with end-clients and their consultant teams to help establish the suitability of a heat pump for a given project. This includes:
- Desk studies on ground conditions to establish site suitability
- Budgetary prices
- CO2 savings calculations
- Renewable Heat Incentive payback calculations and finance options
Detailed Design: Working with engineering consultants we help to specify the heat pump design in detail. This includes:
- Analysis of ground conditions and thermal modelling desk studies
- Test boreholes and thermal response testing
- Environment Agency liaison for open loop projects
- Production of CAD drawings
- Drawing up of complete specifications for tender
We have experience of closed and open loop heat pump systems for heating and cooling applications and can offer a wide range of closed loop collector types.
- Horizontal/slinky
- Conventional boreholes
- Very deep boreholes to 400-800m depth
- Radially drilled boreholes for sensitive sites
- Hydraulically pushed collectors
- Energy piles
This wide range of options allows us to design a system to suit almost any situation. We can also design air to water systems as alternatives or in combination with ground source systems. Contact us for more information.
