Upper Aynho Grounds, Banbury

A Day in the Country, is an award winning provider of corporate hospitality and activity days set in over 250 acres of land near the picturesque village of Upper Aynho, Oxfordshire.

The Requirement

Owners Richard and Jerry Stephenson approached Myriad CEG hoping to offset some of the electricity the business uses each year to create a greener environment for their already green business.

The Solution

Myriad CEG account managers and technical teams came together and recommended a number of options to Richard and Jerry who eventually settled on a 23kWp system made up of 104 Sharp 220w panels.

They were extremely pleased with this after calculations showed the system would produce an estimated 19,640 kWh a year, representing just over a 7 year payback period. It will save approximately 10,400 kgs of carbon dioxide emissions from entering the atmosphere, the equivalent of five return flights from London to Tokyo.

Testimonial from Jerry Stephenson, Managing Director of A Day in the Country:

“We chose a great partner in Myriad Solar. They made it easy for us to adjust our thinking from wind to solar and to make it happen.

“We were impressed with the quality and professionalism of their team at every stage, particularly in the installation when they literally worked around the clock to deliver it on time and on budget.”
