Northern Power 100

Myriad Wind are pleased to offer the Northern Power 100kW Wind Turbine from the well established US company Northern Power Systems based in Vermont who have 30 years experience in developing advanced wind turbines.

Overview

The Northern Power 100 uses advanced permanent magnet generator - direct drive technology. This gearless design is more efficient and reliable than traditional, gearbox-driven wind turbines. Site economics are significantly enhanced by higher production rates, lower O&M requirements and reduced cost of ownership.

This turbine is a tried and tested product with over 100 installations worldwide including 20 powering remote Alaskan settlements.

The Northern Power 100 will generate from 200,000kWh onwards on sites with average annual wind speeds of 6m/s or more. The turbine is normally supplied on a 37m free standing steel tubular tower, designed to maximise its energy production. A 30m tower is available for sites with planning restrictions. The turbine connects to a three phase power supply.

A fully installed Northern Power 100kW wind turbine would cost in the region of approximately £350,000 depending on site conditions and electrical connection requirements.

Whether your wind site is at a school, farm, or business, the Northern Power 100™ sleek, understated profile and quiet operation make it an ideal choice for any medium scale wind power development.

Myriad Wind Feasibility Study

The site specific requirements for turbines of this size need detailed investigation before a decision to go ahead should be considered, or a planning application submitted

The first stage of your project would be for Myriad Wind to produce a Medium Wind Desktop Feasibility Study FREE OF CHARGE this will enable us to establish if it is a viable choice for you.

When you proceed to a full feasibility study a member of Myriad Wind staff will visit your site and using a number of different techniques will assess all aspects of your proposed location for a medium sized wind turbine. A detailed report will be generated and sent to you

You will be sent the completed report and a full project estimate of costs within a few weeks of the visit.

Myriad Wind make a charge of £3,490 + VAT for the completed feasibility study. Please contact Myriad Wind should you wish to progress with your enquiry.
